Enabling pilots to test fly before they buy is a major challenge for all the paragliding manufacturers. This is for several reasons:

  • The logistical challenge of organising individual test flights: unreliable weather, deliveries, and testing after the wing is returned.
  • Delays in getting wings back again.
  • The cost of all the above, which ends up adding a disproportionate amount to the retail price of the wing.

So, how do you test fly a Trekking wing ?

To maintain sensible prices, we've come up with some simple and thrifty solutions:

  1. We organise group test fly sessions by reservation - contact the agent for your area.
  2. We offer a "happy or your money back" deal: You order your wing, and if after 15 days of receiving it and no more than two test flights, you're not completely satisfied, you can return it for a refund. Instructions for returning the wing are set out in the terms and conditions of the Higlider.com website, from which you will have ordered:
    • Inform us by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or recorded post to our registered address, within 15 days of receipt.
    • Dispatch the wing to us within the next 48 hours, along with the documentation that we will have sent you. The return delivery costs must be paid by you. The wing should be in its original state, with all parts. When we receive the wing we'll check it over, and subject to any wear and tear being consistent with only two flights, we will process your refund.
    • For the avoidance of doubt, the refund will not be possible if:
      • you have not informed us within 15 days of receipt, or
      • you have soiled, torn, or otheriwise damaged the wing, or it's state is not consistent with having been used only twice.

   3. As an alternative method of test flying, you can of course borrow a Trekking wing from a friend.
